AI For SDG

Welcome to the AI Research Centre’s website, where we are proud to showcase our impactful initiatives under the AI4SGD (AI for Sustainable Development Goals) Program. Our goal is to leverage artificial intelligence for sustainable development and make a positive impact on society. Here are some of the key initiatives we are actively engaged in:

Addressing food waste and loss: We recognize the critical issue of food waste and loss throughout the entire food supply chain. Our initiative focuses on minimizing food waste by raising awareness, implementing efficient storage and distribution systems, and promoting responsible consumer behavior. As part of this effort, we have undertaken a specific project called the Food Wastage Management system at OVAL, Woxsen University. This project aims to effectively manage and redistribute surplus food resources, extending benefits to nearby old age homes and orphanages at Kamkole, Hyderabad, India.

Research and innovation in healthcare: We are committed to supporting research and innovation in the healthcare sector to develop new treatments, diagnostics, and technologies. Our initiatives involve funding research projects, fostering collaboration between academia and industry, and facilitating the adoption of innovative healthcare solutions.

We are proud to announce that we have filed a patent for our groundbreaking invention titled “A Multiple Disease Diagnosis and Healthcare Management System and its Methods Thereof.” This patent represents a significant step forward in leveraging AI technologies to advance healthcare diagnostics and management. Additionally, we have established collaborative partnerships with esteemed institutions such as the Indian Institute of Public Health, Hyderabad (IIPH-H) and Grokishan aggrotech Private Limited, India for a disease diagnosis project.

Promoting education partnerships and to achieve goals: We understand the importance of partnerships in advancing the quality of education. Through collaborations with over 35 industries, including renowned institutions like Nottingham Trent University – CIA and Johannesburg Business School – AI Institute, we are actively engaged in promoting education partnerships. One of our key initiatives is utilizing technology to enhance learning experiences. We have integrated a cutting-edge Metaverse platform that allows students to engage with challenging topics and subjects through immersive and interactive learning experiences. By embracing technology in education, we strive to create innovative and engaging learning environments that inspire students and deepen their understanding of complex concepts.

Enhancing skills development and employability: We are dedicated to equipping students and professionals with the necessary skills for the evolving job market. We offer a wide range of certification programs and short-term courses, including Data Technology Officer certification and Chief Technology Officer certification, designed to meet industry demands. Additionally, we have partnered with esteemed organizations such as AWS Educator, Nasscom Futureskills, IBM Skill Build, and Coursera to provide access to high-quality courses and learning resources. Internship opportunities are also an integral part of our initiatives, providing real-time industry experience to both Woxsen University students and individuals from outside the university.

Supporting entrepreneurs and SMEs: We understand the crucial role played by entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in driving innovation, job creation, and economic growth. Through our AI Research Centre, we offer technology guidance and support to assist entrepreneurs and SMEs in successfully deploying their innovations in the market. Our experts collaborate closely with them, offering insights, recommendations, and assistance in leveraging technology to meet their specific business needs. Within Woxsen University, Dr. Raul V.
